Russia removes temporary GM corn import ban

   

   

   

The temporary ban on the import of Monsanto's genetically modified glyphosate-tolerant NK603 corn waslifted by Russia.

   

   

According to the Black Sea Biotechnology Association the ban was imposed in September following the publication of a French study claiming harmful effects to rats from exposure to the herbicide, glyphosate, and NK603 corn at levels considered safe to humans.
